Postcard from New Mexico…

Just in from Tim…

…a collaborative work made by Julie Heffernan and Timothy Horn for the ADAA art fair in NYC next week. The piece, entitled Self Portrait as Peter the great, comprises a 12 inch panel painted by Julie and framed by Tim’s fabulous crowned glory. Tim writes that it’s

based on a diamond set miniaturel. Despite Julie depicting a blond princess in the center stage, if you examine her skirt of dead swans and rabbits closely, there’s more than a clue as to the gender re-assignment. Hence “great” lower case.

Funnily enough we picked up on that ‘re-assignment’  straight away, Timmy!!

Fabulous piece, darling.

Chandelier files: upcoming treats for the New Year…

Postcard from Tim, from New Mexico…

…Am attaching some paintings by Julie Heffernan for your Chandelier files. I have the good fortune to be showing alongside Julie at the AADA Art Fair, at the Park Avenue Armory in March. We’ll both be presenting new work, but also collaborating on something special…more about that later! Julie is a fabulous painter, combining superb technique with densely layered content. Her paintings capture moments of magic realism effortlessly. Each works is titled “Self-portrait as…” with ending such as “dirty princess, gorgeous tumor, random being, thing in the forest, etc. You can see more at http://www.ppowgallery.com
