Even we would draw the line at this chandelier.
Megsie, in the throes of snuffling through recent background á la one of her fave artists Nic Folland (she’s writing a little spotlight piece for the Jam), came across this delectable slice of drop(ped) dead gorgeousness shown recently at his solo exhibition with Ryan Renshaw Gallery at the Melbourne Art Fair 2012. We love it – for reason’s too numerous (though no doubt obvious) to mention.
Yummy.
[Yeah, Megsie, we get it – we can so see it on the wall at the Hideout. n(Ed)]
Now we’re in link heaven, this one from La Groppa…
Chandeliers to (literally) die for. More goodies from Hans Van Bentam here.
Postcard from Tim, from New Mexico…
…Am attaching some paintings by Julie Heffernan for your Chandelier files. I have the good fortune to be showing alongside Julie at the AADA Art Fair, at the Park Avenue Armory in March. We’ll both be presenting new work, but also collaborating on something special…more about that later! Julie is a fabulous painter, combining superb technique with densely layered content. Her paintings capture moments of magic realism effortlessly. Each works is titled “Self-portrait as…” with ending such as “dirty princess, gorgeous tumor, random being, thing in the forest, etc. You can see more at http://www.ppowgallery.com
Spike from the SCA has asked us to post news of the upcoming SCA glass studio show – plenty of grist for the thinking glass artist, she assures us, and some purty shiny stuff as well.

The exhibition, Undercast 2009, is on at GiG Gallery, 70 A Glebe Point Rd, Sydders, from 1st – 12th December and has its own blogspot an’ all.
Meanwhile the Netster has been surfing the synchrons and just happens to have sent through some snaps of a chandelier (by student Tara Guinness) that caught her eye at the SCA grad show last week…
Thanks Netty. (See ya soon – we had a dress rehearsal at the beach yesterday, in preparation for your visit! The water’s warm already – gorgey.)
